 I tend to agree with once you, if you study Tantra from its roots and what it is really is about and meant for , you would realized that this great sex is only a by product of the practice and not the essence of it .However just as almost all other Ingenious practices that came from India to the West , whatever the western world mind is fixed upon they use it for their own benefit , in some cases exploit it . Example Yoga a Practice for the Indians to commune with their form of the divine is a gym practice in the west . The Kamasutra a very analytic Sanskrit composition of the social sexual structural behavior of the cultural life of Indians comes to the west it become bedroom antics. Tantra a very ancient practice of stretching ones consciousness via certain means comes to the west we get explosive orgasmic sex ..and the list can continue ..I personally find it hilarious but to each his own ...Leave the new age tantrics alone let them be if they want better sex and the medium is some sort of misguided tantra or not I applaud the effort leave them be. Same with the sexy modern gym yogis if they add a few years to their life with great health its okay leave them be. If one in a hundred achieve the final great enlightenment "moksha" these practices were meant for a good has been done. So no need to bully them against anything their heart desires.
