कटी सक्थिनी गुल्फौ च मन्दं मन्दम् समातन्वन्ति |
मनः शान्तीभूयते ग्लानिश्च अल्पीभूयते |
यदा इदम् आसनं दत्तहस्ताभ्याम् शिरशिलापुत्राभ्याम् क्रियते तदा पृष्ठस्यग्रीवायाश्च पीडा अल्पीभूयते |
Balasana - Child's Pose
The hips, thighs, and ankles are slowly stretched,
The mind becomes calm and fatigue becomes lessened
When this posture is done with the head and torso having a hand given for support then pains of the neck and back becomes lessened
