Divine Weapon

चामुण्डायाःप्रभवौग्रदेशजजनेभ्योऽस्ति| खट्वाङ्गोऽस्यप्रभावस्यस्मारणपत्रं स्पष्टं भवति||

The origin of cAmuNDA devi is account of fierce native tribal peoples. The khaTvAGga (divine weapon/scepter) clearly becomes a reminder of this origin.
