humans

As I stood in a unknown location in a  prison with silent but not dumb inmates for their faces spoke volumes of pain and grief waiting on their fates,I observed from the bars of the cell ,lamenting protesters passing outside in their soiled white clothing with the heat of the impartial sun blazing on their parched lips and partially covered faces ,with hands raised they shouted," Justice !  Justice ! Justice! let our women and children go." I then was hastily escorted outside the prison into the streets by a tired and weary prison guard who had grim stacked ideas in his head for he knew his duty in the prison was useless strained and worth no value to him or his country as he longed to be with the protestors for his family, wife and children also suffered. I asked him, "who are these people?  what desert people are they ? why are they suffering from thirst and food? " as I walked further away from the prison, I observed  death by hunger, starvation, thirst, suicide, mayhem suffering and misery.I scream one last question at him when I saw the anguish as death made his journey through the blood stained, mutilated body filled, war stricken streets.Water is gold here, is it ?, for it was quite clear although gold a most precious item where I am from, was definitely worthless. "Water Water Water," was the cry of their minds and souls of everyone, for water had become the most revered commodity, worth sustenance of life, giving hope of seeing a loved one once again bringing back humanity to oneself. In the midst of all the unthinkable mayhem, the roar of  choppers broke through the cries of sorrow above conjuring  fears in everyone faces as they gazed up to the sky accepting their fates of death or supplies of survival rations from other humans who may hear their cry to survive .I also lost in my gaze as these machine of war teared the sky with their war cries leaving me in fear of the worst but bomb mortar shells did not fall, small boxes of supplies fell as the distressed people by the hundreds rushed them in a stampede for survival ...... Finally WATER. .....Some drank from the bottles as though it was the last they would have, others crabbed as much as they can carry with their weaken limbs and blood stained clothes, yet some to my astonishment  did not drink for they carried the water to their loved ones who had already died for death had beckon  them as  tried for  the lifeless body to drink water, while they cried out loud a loud bellow with no tears to fill their eyes or to run down their cheeks, calling out the  names of their loved ones ,begging them to return. I stood crying weakened by the millions of knots my stomach made inside and my heart with a heavy burden of immeasurable pain I begged mA to eliminate their suffering I shouted  again and again "माँ."
