अधुना अहं हठयोगस्य नूतनछात्रोsस्मि | अहम् अपि च सर्वाणि अन्विष्टासनानि  कर्तुं निपुणं नशक्नोमि | किन्तु शवासनम् इति मम मनसि इदम् आसनम् वरिष्ठम् अस्ति | इदम्  एतावत् अस्ति | एकस्मिन् समये अहं इदं कुर्वन् आसम् | अहं च सुगम्भीरध्यानम्   अन्तर्गतवान् | अहम् अस्मिन् अन्तर्ध्याने गत्वा उच्छिङ्खनम् स्वयं श्रुतवान् | अट्टं हसामि हाहाहा  | तया उपलब्ध्या इदमासनंवरिष्ठम् वर्तते इति जाने ||

Now I am a new student of HaThyoga , and also I am not able to do perfectly all the required postures. However zavAsan (corpse posture) in my opinion this posture is the best. It is so great at one time I was doing it , and I went into very deep meditation. I having gone into this meditation I heard my own self snoring ..lol ..hahaha .With this observation I know this posture is the best...............

अहं आशाम् धरामि न कश्चित् अस्माकं दैशिकसंस्कृतेः भागं वर्णयितुम्  संस्कृतभाषायाः स्वल्पशब्दानाम्  स्वप्रयोगेन  अपराधं करिष्यति इति ||

This song named Congo Man song by the Mighty Sparrow, it appears to be based upon a true story. In a interview the local singer said, " I was travelling on a train  in New York and then on the train on the radio the news reporter readout loudly, "in the Congo of Africa White Christian women  Missionaries were captured by cannibalistic mercenaries," and there I came up with the idea to write that witty song on the topic of the news. Although this  song was written with a disposition of sexuality nevertheless it is still a great song with a full comprehension of words and meanings. A pon/kaiso truly indeed.

I hope No one will be offended by my use of a few Sanskrit words to describe a part our local culture...

Bilva

स्वगृहस्य समीपे अत्र एषः बिल्वः अस्ति | अहं प्रतिदिनम् नित्यकर्मन्पूजायै  तस्मात्  पत्राणि चिनोमि | उद्वेष्टाङ्गणात् अपि च पुष्पानि चीयन्ते | किन्तु कदाचित् बिल्वस्य पत्राणि अवचितपुष्पेभ्यः स्थूलतराणि सन्ति | तानि  सौख्येन  ताम्रथाल्याम् स्थापयितुं  कदापि न शक्नुवन्ति |तानि वेदिम् उपप्लवन्ते |  अपि नाम अहं स्थूलतरवेदिम् ताम्रथालीम्  वा लभेयम् इति मन्ये  |  मया जातु दृष्टः तानि पत्राणि महिष्ठानि सन्ति इति |अधुनापि वृक्षः फलभृत्| अतः सूदः मया प्रकरिष्यते ||

                                     

Limitless

तस्मा अवदम् गीर्वाणभाषा हिन्दुधर्मम् अतिक्रामति किन्तु यदि त्वम् अस्मिन् वर्गे तां धातुं केवलम्  इच्छसि तर्ह्यपि तव विचारः प्रकटीकर्तव्य इति ||

Nasadiya Sukta with English translation

नासदासीन्नो सदासीत्तदानीं नासीद्रजो नो व्योमा परो यत् ।
किमावरीवः कुह कस्य शर्मन्नम्भः किमासीद्गहनं गभीरम् ॥ १॥

Then even nothingness was not, nor existence,
There was no air then, nor the heavens beyond it.
What covered it? Where was it? In whose keeping
Was there then cosmic water, in depths unfathomed?

न मृत्युरासीदमृतं न तर्हि न रात्र्या अह्न आसीत्प्रकेतः ।
आनीदवातं स्वधया तदेकं तस्माद्धान्यन्न परः किञ्चनास ॥२॥

Then there was neither death nor immortality
nor was there then the torch of night and day.
The One breathed windlessly and self-sustaining.
There was that One then, and there was no other.

तम आसीत्तमसा गूहळमग्रे प्रकेतं सलिलं सर्वाऽइदम् ।
तुच्छ्येनाभ्वपिहितं यदासीत्तपसस्तन्महिनाजायतैकम् ॥३॥

At first there was only darkness wrapped in darkness.
All this was only unillumined water.
That One which came to be, enclosed in nothing,
arose at last, born of the power of heat.

कामस्तदग्रे समवर्तताधि मनसो रेतः प्रथमं यदासीत् ।
सतो बन्धुमसति निरविन्दन्हृदि प्रतीष्या कवयो मनीषा ॥४॥

In the beginning desire descended on it -
that was the primal seed, born of the mind.
The sages who have searched their hearts with wisdom
know that which is is kin to that which is not.

तिरश्चीनो विततो रश्मिरेषामधः स्विदासीदुपरि स्विदासीत् ।
रेतोधा आसन्महिमान आसन्त्स्वधा अवस्तात्प्रयतिः परस्तात् ॥५॥

And they have stretched their cord across the void,
and know what was above, and what below.
Seminal powers made fertile mighty forces.
Below was strength, and over it was impulse.

को अद्धा वेद क इह प्र वोचत्कुत आजाता कुत इयं विसृष्टिः ।
अर्वाग्देवा अस्य विसर्जनेनाथा को वेद यत आबभूव ॥६॥

But, after all, who knows, and who can say
Whence it all came, and how creation happened?
the gods themselves are later than creation,
so who knows truly whence it has arisen?

इयं विसृष्टिर्यत आबभूव यदि वा दधे यदि वा न ।
यो अस्याध्यक्षः परमे व्योमन्त्सो अङ्ग वेद यदि वा न वेद ॥७॥

Whence all creation had its origin,
he, whether he fashioned it or whether he did not,
he, who surveys it all from highest heaven,
he knows - or maybe even he does not know.[9]

I hope all those people who are in the U.S. with all those snowstorms, they are safe. The name of my own country is Trinidad and Tobago in the country I reside and there is no snow . Snow was never seen by  me and also I don't desire to see it . Here in my region there is only sunny weather and the rainy season. Sometimes a Hurricane may pass close by but it doesn't do any major damage. I think  hurricanes don't like us. lol...Some people say God is a Trini  because  Hurricanes  don't exactly come here . I think the idea is silly but that's our culture. Anyways  I  hope  in this cold bad weather  they are all safe...
