गाथिन्नेता आसीत् | सः च सार्थकगायकः केवलम् आसीत् |
यो जयपुरात्रौलीगृहस्य कुलवृद्धेन कृताभ्यासः कृतः ||
स्वश्रोत्रसुखरीतिस् त्रयाणां प्रभावकगानीयसम्प्रदायानाम् सङ्गम् अरूपयत् |
बाल्ये सः कर्णाटकसङ्गीते कृताभ्यास आसीत् |
स्वयौवने स ग्वालियरगृहस्य तद्विद्येन अशिक्षत |
अन्ततश्च सोsपूर्वरीतिगृहस्य व्याकर्तेव पुरस्कारं समृद्धिं च साधितुं जयपुरात्रौलीगृहम् उदावसत् ||
गायकस्य अधिकतमप्रधानविशेषः श्रोतृवर्गस्य चित्ताकर्षणेन सामीपताम्आसीत् |
सः प्रास्ताविकालापया रागस्य मन्दनिर्माणं न आर्हत् पूर्वमेव भन्दिष्ठान्
( बंदिश् ) आरभत |
श्रोतृवर्गाय अचिरयोगितया कस्यचित् तालस्य सहितसङ्गीतेषु अन्तर्
प्रत्यक्षम् गच्छेत् ||
स्वाधिकतमम् स्मरणीयपूर्वगान्धर्वं महाराष्ट्रराज्यस्य राजधानिकायां
(मुम्बई) गणेशोत्सव आसीत् यस्मिन् सः षड्ढोराभ्यः परोsगायत् |
यद्यपि यतः सः स्वजीवितस्य पूर्वभागेsनेकध्वनिमुद्रिका अकरोत्
तथापि सः षष्टिहायनजरे वित्तम् केवलम् अलभत |
सोsपि बहून् राष्ट्रप्रशस्तीन् अलभत पद्मश्री पद्मभुषन् पद्मविभुषन् इत्यादीन् ||

Pandit Mallikarjuna Mansur was a leading singer of the Khyaal style in the post independence of India and he was the only significant singer who did practice with the head of the family of the Jaipur Atrauli Ghrana.
His own musical style represented a confluence of three influential
musical Traditions. In childhood he was trained in Carnatic music, In his youth he learned with a expert of the Gwalior ghrana
and finally he migrated to the Jaipur Atrauli Ghrana to achieve
success and distinction as a expounder of the unique Jaipur Ghrana.
The singer's most prominent characteristic was the closeness with the hearts of the audience.
He didn't require slow build up of the Raag with a prelude introduction(Alap), before he started the banish,
he could go directly into the songs accompaniment of any Tal (rhythm ) with a instant connection to the audience.
His most memorable early concert was at a Ganesh Celebration in Mumbi in which he sang more than six hours.
Although since he made many LP's in the early part of his own life
nether less he only obtained money at the age of sixty.
He also obtained many awards , Padmashri Padmabhushan Padmavibhushan etc..
