I don't understand these participles

लघुनिबन्धः अद्यतनस्य पूर्वदिने क्रियापदानि विना लेखनीयः मया इष्टः । केवलम् कर्मनामानि उपयोक्तव्यानि । यतोहि संस्कृतकक्षायाम् व्याकरणस्य तानि रूपानि अस्माभिः पठितानि । किन्तु अबहूनि सरलपदानि लिखित्वा अहम् एतानि क्रियापदानि विना निबन्धम् लिखितुम् न शक्तवान् ।अपिनाम केषुचित् आगच्छत्सु वर्षेषु अहम् लघुनिबन्धम् तथा लेखिष्यन् ||

In the earlier part of today a short essay was desire to be written by me without verbs. Only participles should be used, because in Sanskrit class these forms of grammar were studied by us. However having written a few simple words I was not able to write the essay without the verbs. Perhaps in some coming years I will write a short essay in that manner.
