तराना इति अयं हिंदीशब्दः हिन्दुस्थान-शास्त्रीय-संगीतस्य  रीतं  निर्वर्णयति । इयं रीतिः मे नुतना अस्ति । मया न पर्याप्तम् अवगता । परंतु इयं रोचते ।
एकदा अस्माकं कक्षायाम् विष्णुमहोदयः उक्तवान् तेन चिन्ता मास्तु । तत् संगीतम् मधु वालुकात्वं अस्ति इति । परंतु अहम् इतोपि चिन्तयामि संगीतस्य इयं रीतः सुन्दरी अस्ति इति ।
प्रगीतस्य इयं रीतः शब्दैः अक्षरैः निश्चितैः उपयुज्यन्ते *ओदनि तोदनि तदीम् यललि* इत्यादिभिः । एते नादाः फारसीभाषायाः ध्वनिशास्त्रेभ्यः आगताः ।
इयं आमिर् खुस्रो महोदयेन विरच्यते स्म *(१२५३-१३२५)*


Tarana , this Hindi word represents a style of Hindustani classical music. This style is new to me. It is not fully understood by me but I like it .
Once in our class Vishnu said," don't worry with it that music is sweet nothingness, but I still think the style of music is  beautiful . This style of vocals uses words and syllables odani todani tadeem yalai etc .These words came from the phonetics of the Persian language. Its was invented by Amir Khusro (1253-1325 CE)
