ॐ दक्षिणामूर्तये नमः
महादेवस्य तान्त्रिकरूपम् इदम् अस्ति | शिवस्य इदं रूपं सङ्गीतयोगविवज्ञनानां
गुरुमिव शिवं रूपयति चापि
सः शास्त्राणां व्याख्यानानि ददाति स्म |
Salutations to Dakshinamurti
This is the Tantric form of the Great God (Shiva) . This form of Shiva represents Shiva as the Guru of wisdom, yoga and music and also he gives dispositions on the Shastras.
हिन्दुशास्त्रेषु यदि कस्यचित्
गुरुः न वर्तते सः स्वागुरुमिव
दक्षिणामूर्तिं पूजयेत् | कालेन यावत् सः
प्रत्यक्षीकृतपुरुष्यगुरुं
लभेत् यदि सः अर्हः अस्ति इति उच्यते ||
In the Hindu scriptures if anyone doesn't have a Guru ,he could worshipped Dakshinamurti as his own guru, with time he could obtain realized human guru , if he is worthy, it is said.
